I have many friends and coworkers who would hardly find this funny.

    Oh, this made my day.

    Dispelling the Global Warming Myth

There is a very close correlation between global temperature and solar output. See the graph. That even seems reasonable in its own way. (smile)

DK has a sense of humor, ok good. But now with Garland's graph we will learn if he is a religious type regarding global warming.

is this just a general crack at correlation/causation inferences, or is Russ saying that he doesn't really buy the whole climate change hypothesis? If the latter, I really wonder why not at least stay agnostic about something you're not an expert in?

I'm convinced that with enough data I can "prove" that the attacks on 9/11 were caused by the increase or decrease in sales of Diet Dr. Pepper, or Loch Ness Monster sightings with the quality of wood used in Louisville Sluggers. ;o)

Who needs to distinguish between correlation and causation?! :D

The solution is obvious - end the ban on private mail delivery.

I'd be really interested to hear the statist assertions that UPS and FedEx couldn't deliver mail in addition to parcels.

I am skeptical of global warming.

but i am also skeptical of Al Gore's investment in Generation Management and other environmentally centered hedge funds which will likely profit from any cap-and-trade scheme enacted by the current administration.

So it seems to me that it is in Gore's financial self interest to peddle this malarkey.

Apparently, according to LGF's Charles Johnson, AGW is proven beyond reasonable doubt by "peer reviewed scientists" and that's that.

The science is in. The debate is over! [/in my best Austrian (School?) voice]

This is great. Humor punctures pretensions and the pretentious self absorbed know it all academic Olympians. Laughing out loud. Thanks Don and Russ. Smiling on a rainy day in Philadelphia's western suburbs.

    Russ,

I have an immense amount of respect for you and I am an libertarian in every sense of the word, but C'mon seriously??

This is very disappointing. Please don't ignore facts because it doesn't agree with our shared ideology.
