Mark Steyn on Obamacare
Hey, I had grimulus in the original thread! I demand recognition!!!!
Unulus - When the an act to strengthen unions and increase faltering wages gets tagged onto the next bill designed to support a faltering economy.
Spendulus makes the most sense, but I like the others -- perhaps, Flimulus, or flimflamulus
Alchemulus: The study of the transmutation of Spending to Growth
The term I propose for this bill is âlootimusâ, for the only thing it is stimulating is the looting of Americaâs taxpayers. This bill is not merely a one-time transfer of a trillion or so dollars out of the pockets of those who earned it and into the pockets of those who did not -- itâs also a commitment to expanding the looting of our children and their children.
By the way, for an excellent presentation on the genesis of our current financial crises, I invite you to watch a presentation by John Allison, chairman of the board of BB&T, a $137 billion financial services and banking company. This is the first time Iâve heard an âinsiderâ discuss the causes of this crises. You can see the presentation here: LINK
Stymie-US or Stymielus to identify the true effect of the slowing the leveraging is my humble suggestion.
I correct myself...it was proposed in the other thread...though my Stymie-US variant is worthwhile imo.
I prefer "Justdosomethingulus" rather than "Sinkorswimulus."
"Summers Smoothie" because the idea is to use an occasion of spare capacity to do some necessary repairs and improvement to public goods.
Obama thinks that every opportunity for the government to borrow and spend will create wealth, so why not spend big?
Obama and the Democrats have indeed announced that their policies are based on a 1.5 "Keynesian economic multiplier" that will improve the economy.
If Obama is correct, that there is a 1.5 wealth multiplier on spending, then $100 in spending produces $150 in wealth, and we should all benefit from counterfeiting.
It is not my fault that the beliefs of the Obama economic team are so outrageous that they lead to this outrageous result.
Let's Counterfeit Our Way to Wealth
---- quote -----
Excerpt:
This counterfeit money should have the same 1.5 multiplier associated with government spending. The money won't be saved, it won't go to the taxpayers (who have their own money), and it will get into circulation immediately where it can stimulate the economy and even create more tax collections.
Even better, there is no need to borrow money or raise taxes to get back the money, because this would create it at very low cost. The investment and job creation plans of the taxpayers would not be interrupted.
(There are some simple calculations at the link.)
------- --------
Where have I gone wrong? By believing Obama and Keynes. Maybe they don't care if they are wrong, as long as they get to spend the money.
I've been calling it the Spend-u-Must, because that's what Obama says we must do or ELSE.
Kidzulus - "kids you lose", to play on the generational theft.
Staywithus- debt that hangs around, the entitlements persist.
Changulus-both for the paltry $13 per week and for Obama's favorite word. You know, Castro brought change too!
Falzhopulus - False hope
"The Singularity" - in honor of Ray Kurzweil. Is he not "The One"?
Inflatulus - INFLATION!
Inflatulus - as pronounced in flatuence - would be better.
The flu, Russ?
Have you been supplementing with vitamin D?

My wife and I have been taking 2,000 units each day. This season she managed to avoid contracting any of the viruses raging through her workplace (veterinary hospital).
