I find it disconcerting to have the little snap windows opening up--on all by themselves--as I move my cursor about the page. At a glance while I'm commenting, the Snap feature loads too slowly to be useful. But the picture box still pops up, making it kind of an annoyance.

Re: Feedback, please

Search is the most useful feature for me. I got it because it has a 2 megapixel camera, but love the media player on it the most. I'm a big Mac guy and a big iPod guy, so I probably should feel like I'm betraying my best friend, but this thing is great for podcasts. I just load it up using Bluetooth File Exchange every morning and have stuff to listen to all day wherever I am. It plays unencrypted MP3, AAC, etc. either out headphones or out the speakerphone. I prefer the latter. It's super convenient with Bluetooth. No wires to connect. No drive to safely unmount, no convoluted syncing process, etc. Only downside is that I have an iPod centric sound system in my car, and it doesn't do Bluetooth. I hear that next year's models will...

Re: Feedback, please

I also listen to your podcasts via cellphone. Currently I have an LG-vx8300. I put the podcast on a MicroSD card and use headphones.

I feel that the site is a bit crowded on the margins. There is too much going on there that distracts the eyes. The search feature is not really necessary at the top, and most people know that by using site:cafehayek.typepad.com in google you can search the blog.

While I love econtalk, I don't think using that widget would be the best way to go about promoting it. Better to put links to the lastest shows in the margin that will stream it through their media player.

One nice way to unclutter the blog woud be to have the width autosize to the browser window, that way people can utilize more of their screen. This would mean eliminating the blue backround. Instead, I would use this blue as you background color only for the margins, so it clearly delineates where the news stories are and where additinal information is.

Love the blog, thanks for your work.

Re: Feedback, please

Brad,

I'll see if I can find such a widget that will do that.

What kind of cell phone do you have?

Re: Feedback, please

Russ,

Love the Snap feature and the searchability. The Snap is nice because I used to do a rollover and look at my bottom navbar to see where the link is going to (e.g. an author's webpage or an amazon.com link).
