I'm curious to understand why people would pay for what's otherwise available for free. But then again, I drink bottled water, so maybe I've answered my own question.

This is great news. The main reason I have wanted a Kindle was so that I can read Cafe Hayek and other blogs over meals. I may buy one now.

You can get Cafe Hayek (and virtually any other blog) for free on the Sony Reader if you use the also-free Calibre software.
